Our clinic building has been purpose renovated to provide a comfortable and functional hospital for our patients.
Our reception area is where you will meet our friendly nursing staff who can assist you with purchases, booking appointments or advice. This is also where you will wait with your pet before your pet's appointment. We have a good range of pet foods and products on display in our waiting area. Our digital pet scales are also in our reception area.
We have three consultation rooms, where our veterinarians will examine your pet and discuss their healthcare requirements with you.
Our two surgical prep rooms are where we take x-rays, perform dentistry, take blood samples and prepare your pet for surgical procedures. Routine and emergency sterile procedures are carried out in our fully equipped main surgery.
Cats and dogs are housed in separate rooms to help reduce stress during their stay. We use comfortable bedding for our patients and panel heaters ensure a comfortable temperature is maintained during colder weather. If your pet is admitted to our hospital you are most welcome to visit them and spend time with them during their stay.
Our clinic has a separate, detached isolation room to house infectious cases. This means there is no risk of the infection being transmitted to our healthy patients. We also have a fully enclosed outdoor exercise area where we walk dogs and hold our puppy preschool classes.

Animal Care Vets is actively involved in our local community. We support a number of charities, including the SPCA. We also care for the Hawkes Bay Police dogs.
