Emily Wood

Certificate in Veterinary Nursing RCVS

Veterinary Nurse

Emily has been vet nursing now for almost 20 years. She started part-time and as a 'Saturday girl' for a small mixed animal clinic in Shropshire, UK. From there she got a job at a small animal clinic just outside of London where she commenced her vet nursing course. Emily gained a lot of experience there, working with a wide variety of animals including many exotics and British wildlife. After 6 years, she went travelling and did some volunteer work in Thailand. There she worked with many dogs, bears and also monkeys. Emily returned to the UK and did locum work for a few years before deciding to travel to New Zealand. After spending 2 years working in Rotorua Emily moved to Hawkes Bay, where she joined the AnimalCare team in 2007.
